We are reminded of the terrible sacrifices of WWII…On average 6600 Americans died per month or around 220/day…

This magnificent thoroughbred fighting machine is perhaps the best know British aircraft of all time. In production throughout World War II. A fully competitive interceptor as well as being used as PR aircraft, tactical fighter-bomber and shipboard fighter

“No matter how one looks at it, these are incredible statistics. Aside from the figures on aircraft, consider this statement from the article: On average 6600 American service men died per MONTH, during WWII (about 220 a day) – – – – – -“

We should never forget the terrible sacrifices of WWII or any war for that matter…  I am a strong believer of being reminded of how many lives were lost to protect freedoms around the world.  Millions of fathers and mothers around the world served.   Once the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941, WWII was a “call to action” never before seen in modern warfare.  All Americans were focused on one thing during WWII, winning a fight that was believed to be a threat to world peace and freedoms everywhere.  And so the greater good did win, but at an unimaginable cost in lives during the war, emotional challenges in life after war for generations, and in treasure.  We give thanks each and every day to veterans of all wars for protecting the freedoms we now enjoy in most countries in the world…
