God Made a Dog… click for this heartwarming video…
Our family dog, Skai, is one of the most gentle, patient and selfless dogs on the planet. He has stuck by our daughter, his Mom, through thick and thin. Skai often stands and stares and expects us to know what he is thinking. He puts his nose on my arm and gently nudges to request permission to jump up on the couch and cuddle with us. Skai is 5 years old now and has really settled down and become one with our family. He waits at the door for his Mom to get home, the most exciting part of his day… Skai loves the beach too… He feels free to run and run until exhausted with joy. He waits with anticipation at dinner time for the delicious left over treats to mix in his bowl. God made Skai for our family, especially his Mom, Sarah…
I was compelled to honor therapy dogs in my post today. Skai is the perfect subject and example of why we love our pets so much. They never give up on us. The unconditional love of pets is a huge part of the human connectedness and spiritual experience. I believe Skai like millions of K9 therapy companions everywhere are soulful and have saved and healed the hearts of humans since the beginning of time. Skai is no exception… “And God Made the Dog.”
